Is this truly handmade?

Yes, every product from the Schmiede Laterne brand is the result of traditional hand-forging craftsmanship. Thanks to this artisanal production process, each piece is a unique original.

What kind of light bulbs can I use in the lanterns?

Most of our lights come standard with a high-quality E27 porcelain base, which is compatible with light bulbs rated up to 100 W, including modern, energy-efficient LED bulbs.

Do you supply the lights with the electrical wiring already connected?

Yes, our lanterns and lights come with a fully assembled and safe internal electrical system (including the socket). However, we recommend that you have a qualified electrician handle the installation and connection to the power supply.

What are the mounting options for wall lanterns?

Our wall sconces (such as the “Stella” and “Aurora” models) are designed for permanent installation directly on the exterior wall or an interior wall. The mounting hardware is aesthetically integrated into the design of the forged bracket.

Can I order a custom-made wrought-iron light fixture?

How long is the delivery time for your products?

Since these are hand-forged and precision-crafted products, the delivery time depends on current stock availability and the time required for production. It typically ranges from a few days to a few weeks. We will let you know the exact delivery date when you place your order.

How do I care for a wrought-iron outdoor light fixture?

Forged light fixtures are maintenance-free. Thanks to their high-quality surface finish, simply wipe them gently with a damp cloth if they become dirty. We do not recommend using harsh chemical cleaners.

Do you also ship outside of Slovakia and Germany?

Yes, we ship our hand-forged lanterns to customers throughout Europe. The lanterns are packed with special care and secured for transport to prevent any damage.

What should I do if the merchandise arrives damaged?

If, despite our careful packaging, damage occurs during shipping, the customer must contact us immediately. We will resolve the issue promptly by replacing the merchandise or in another satisfactory manner in accordance with our complaint policy.
