A lamp exactly to your liking: How does custom manufacturing work?

In our e-shop www.schmiedelaterne.eu, you will find a wide range of hand-forged light fixtures – from elegant half-lanterns to majestic standing lanterns in the Empire style. However, we know that every home is unique, and sometimes you have a photo of the exact piece in your head (or in an album) that would perfectly fit your facade or your garden.

Have you spotted a lamp in a historical magazine, seen a beautiful antique lantern on vacation, or been captivated by a design we do not normally sell? For me, as an artistic blacksmith, this is not an obstacle, but a great challenge! I will create a custom light fixture for you, exactly according to your ideas.

From your photograph to my sketches

The entire customization and bespoke production process is very simple and transparent. It takes place in three basic steps:

• 1. Send me a photograph or an image: If you have a request for a lamp outside of our standard offer, just send me a photo, sketch, or an image of what you like. It does not have to be a perfect technical drawing – visual inspiration is more than enough.
• 2. I will draw three unique designs for you: Based on your reference, I will apply my blacksmithing experience and imagination. I will design and hand-draw three different variations of your future lantern. Each design will differ slightly in details, ornamentation, or lines, giving you the opportunity to choose the direction that suits you best.
• 3. You choose the winner: You decide which of the three visual designs is the right one for your project. Once you approve it, I can get to work in the blacksmith workshop.
